Raincoat 2000

Elastomeric Roof Coatings

Acrylic

Description

Weather Barrier 2000 Rain Coat is the first acrylic roof coating to pass the NSF Protocol for Health Effects from Rainwater Catchment System Components (1995). It is safe for potable water catchment service and is designed for use as a protective and waterproof seamless membrane for pitched roof surfaces, ultraviolet protection of existing roofing materials, or as a finish coat over Weather Barrier 1530 Base Coat. Weather Barrier 2000 RainCoat has been developed and proven to be a superior protective waterproof roofing membrane for industrial, commercial, residential and agricultural structures.

Meets or Exceeds the following ASTM Standards:

  • D 2370 - Elongation- Min. 60% at 0 degrees F / Min. 200% at 73 degrees F
  • D 2370 - Tensile Strength- Min. 100 Psi at 0 degrees F / Min. 200 Psi at 73 degrees F
  • D 2370 - Percent Elongation- Min. 40% at 0 degrees F / Min. 100% at 73 degrees F
  • D 1653 - Permeance- Max 50 Perms
  • D 4798 - Accelerated Weathering at 1000 hours- Passes with no cracking or checking
  • D 6083 - Standards set for liquid applied coatings used in roofing. Meets or exceeds all requirements.

Features

  • Testing: Weather Barrier 2000 Rain Coat passes NSF’s tough potable water protocol and ASTM D 6083 .
  • Elastomeric: Weather Barrier 2000 Rain Coat remains flexible in severe weather conditions. Elastic and rubber-like, it flexes to surface expansion and contraction, due to temperature changes. It resists cracking even when exposed to extreme high and low temperature conditions.
  • Energy Saver: Weather Barrier 2000 Rain Coat’s brilliant white maximizes solar reflectivity. It reduces summer heat build-up and roof surface temperature by as much as 60 degrees. It can virtually eliminate thermal shock and roof movement when applied over metal roofing, a major cause of leaks.
  • Waterproof: The Acrylic formula creates a closed cell membrane that completely seals and waterproofs. Critical areas at terminations, around protrusions and all stress areas can be additionally reinforced to provide extra protection against movement with Weather Barrier polyester mesh and Weather Barrier 1750, a heavy duty rubberized flashing material.
  • Adhesive: Adhesion to properly prepared surfaces is outstanding. Additional layers applied to previous layers are impossible to separate. Intercoat adhesion of future coats is great.
  • Chemical and Weather Resistant: Weather Barrier 2000 Rain Coat is resistant to common industrial chemicals, acid rain and other VOC compounds.
  • Lightweight: Weather Barrier 2000 Rain Coat adds only 8 lbs. per coat per 100 sq. ft. to the roof load.
